DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES has partnered with Cojali USA to provide electronic control unit (ECU) diagnostic evaluation, remanufacture, and bench-verified return for commercial, Motor Transport (MT) tactical vehicles, and Heavy Equipment (HE). Where a replacement ECU is long-lead, price-escalated, or no longer procurable, remanufacture returns the asset to mission-capable status at a fraction of replacement cost.

ECU Types Serviced
Cojali’s remanufacturing division works across more than 3,000 ECU references spanning industrial vehicle, agricultural, and construction equipment. Coverage includes:
Engine control modules (ECM) — injection faults, driver circuit failure, no-start conditions
Transmission control modules (TCM)
Brake, ABS, and EBS controllers
Suspension and ECAS controllers
Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) controllers
Aftertreatment and emissions controllers — DPF, SCR, EGR
Central computers and body control modules — internal CAN communication faults
Instrument clusters and display panels — gauge and indicator failures
Platform Experience
DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES has developed or supported diagnostic test equipment for:
JLTV MTVR HEMTT
FMTV LVSR HET
LMTV MK970 PLS
HMMWV M939 5-Ton M915/916/917
Stryker M113A3 M88 (Hercules)
M-ATV MRAP Cougar MRAP Buffalo
HIMARS G/ATOR Aerospace Ground Equipment
Combat watercraft diagnostic solutions are also supported.
If your part number is not obviously covered, submit the request anyway. Coverage is determined by part number, and the reference list grows continuously.
Remanufacturing Process
Every unit moves through a controlled eight-stage process on dedicated benches:
Receipt of the failed unit and intake documentation
Initial inspection and functional test on the Jaltest ESB electronic simulation bench
Disassembly of the unit
Remanufacture — replacement of defective and worn components
Cleaning, reassembly, and inspection
Final verification on the Jaltest ESB, including end-of-line (EOL) functional test
Packaging
Return shipment
Each unit is diagnosed, repaired, tested, and simulated on dedicated, independent benches. A unit does not ship until it passes end-of-line test to the same specifications as new product.
Same Architecture as the DATS-ECHO
This is not a separate or parallel capability. The ECU service and repair workflow uses the same architecture and framework already fielded in the DATS-ECHO Jaltest Military diagnostic solution — NSN 6620-01-688-5653, part number DDTS-KT01E — currently in service through DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES and covering over 283 makes and brands.
The practical consequences for a maintenance activity:
The same diagnostic engine identifies the fault and verifies the repair. Jaltest reads the unit in the field; the Jaltest ESB electronic simulation bench evaluates and end-of-line tests the same unit at the repair facility. Diagnosis and verification are not two unrelated processes producing two unrelated opinions.
Fault codes and component data carry across unchanged. A DTC captured on a DATS-ECHO in your motor pool means the same thing on the bench, so what your technician observed is what the repair technician sees.
One coverage model. ECU part number support is drawn from the same reference set that drives DATS-ECHO platform coverage, so if the DATS-ECHO addresses the system, the controller behind it is a candidate for repair.
No new tooling, training, or data package. Units already operating a DATS-ECHO are working within a framework they know. Activities without one lose nothing — the repair service stands on its own.
Where a DATS-ECHO is already fielded, the pre-shipment diagnostic report it produces can be attached directly to the repair request below, which shortens the coverage confirmation step.
Why Remanufacture
Availability. Restores units that are obsolete, long-lead, or out of production.
Cost. Materially below new-unit replacement.
Configuration retention. The unit returns as the same part number and hardware revision already fielded on the platform.
Sustainability. Serviceable components are returned to use rather than scrapped, under Cojali’s Green Cojali program.
Quality and Credentials

Procurement
Federal agencies may award qualifying ECU service and repair requirements to DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES through the SBA 8(a) Program on a sole-source basis when permitted by applicable law and regulation. Current competitive thresholds are generally $5.5 million for most non-manufacturing acquisitions and $8.5 million for manufacturing acquisitions. Requirements exceeding these thresholds may still qualify for sole-source award under certain circumstances authorized by SBA regulations and the FAR.
Awarding through the 8(a) Program reduces procurement lead time and administrative burden while supporting agency small business, SDVOSB, and small disadvantaged business objectives.
Current contracts demonstrating past performance:
DLA SPE4A6-25-P-J664 — $4.9M to deliver 213 Diagnostic Analyzer Test Sets ECHO (DATS-E), NSN 6620-01-688-5653
MCSC M6785424C0064 — $3.5M, three-year services contract providing on-site LNO support for U.S. Marine Corps JLTV fielding at I, II, and III MEF
