DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES is a current participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program through September 2027.

The SBA 8(a) Program provides federal agencies with a streamlined contracting vehicle that enables agencies to acquire innovative products and professional services from qualified small businesses while meeting their small business goals. Contracts may be awarded on either a sole-source or competitive 8(a) basis in accordance with the Small Business Act, SBA regulations, and FAR Part 19.

8(a) Sole-Source Contracting

Federal agencies may award qualifying requirements to DR. DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES through the SBA 8(a) Program on a sole-source basis when permitted by applicable law and regulation.

Current competitive thresholds are generally:

  • $5.5 million for most non-manufacturing acquisitions
  • $8.5 million for manufacturing acquisitions

Requirements exceeding these thresholds may still qualify for sole-source award under certain circumstances authorized by SBA regulations and the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
